System goes directly into chkdsk -- reboots -- goes back into chkdsk, even
after it displays "No problems found." About to run fixmbr, but need to know
if this is a reasonable approach. Disconnected HP scanner after reading other
posts, finally got to the Recovery Console via the install CD. Need guidance
on running fixmbr. Thx. LIz

Go to Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter. Then type in:
chkntfs /x c: , and hit enter. Reboot your computer.
