End Program - wscntfy.exe

Hi All,

Hope someone can help, we are running Windows XP Professional with Service
Pack 2, every time we shut down the PC we get a pop up box with the message
"End Program - wscntfy.exe".

Can you let me know if there is a way to resolve this, whether this is a
problem and/or if there is a fix for it.

The file is the "Security Center" for Windows XP. You can open it from
start/all programs/accessories/system tools. You may be having some trouble
with an app you installed for anti-virus.

I have already opened the "Security Center" and it seems to be working fine,
it just doesn't seem to close promptly when we shut down the PC, hence we get
the pop up message described previously. We've changed nothing with our Anti
Virus or Spyware configuration (we are running AVG on both counts and have
never had problems before).

Is there some way to eliminate the problem on shut down that you or others
may know of.
