I can't believe this thing is categorized as basically a non-issue, infact
Symantec no longer lists this virus delivery on their main threat page. I
cannot remember any other virus delivery that has affected so many email
systems.

I have recieved over 4000 bogus emails related to this event; good news is
that Norton has caught (Ihope) all of them.

I am also surprized that email delivery systems have not effected
appropriate filtering systems. This should be mandatory on identification of
this sort of threat.

Is _anyone_, _anywhere_, doing _anything_ to try and catch the SOBs that
pulled this stunt? Or, do we all just sit back and wait till the next
attack?

I've gotten a few thousand of these bogus emails since last Thursday.

I have Norton Corporate and i *thought* it was catching all of the
attached files when downloading mail to Eudora Light, but for the
heck of it i checked my dedicated C:/Attachments directory and
found three of the offending .EXE files sitting there. I left them
there and ran a full Norton scan to see what would happen and
was surprised to discover Norton didn't find them. I sent them
to the Recycle Bin so no big deal, maybe Norton didn't find them
because i never executed the files?

Anyway, look at whatever directory you have your attachments
going to and see if any of em made it through.
