I just read at rtr.com that microsoft has end of lifed front page server
extensions for unix. Does this mean that I should not even bother considering
using a host that has the last version of fp extensions with unix? version
5.0.2.4803 Thankyou.

Microsoft ended the life of the FrontPage Server Extensions period. Both
Unix and Windows. There will be no more future versions. You can use any
web host you'd like. Just because MS ended support doesn't mean they'll stop
using them. Just ask your web host if they will keep offering them.

Microsoft will provide mainstream support for the FPSE2002 on Windows Server
2003 for as long as they support Windows Server 2003. "Mainstream support
will end two years after the next version of this product (Longhorn) is
released. Extended support will end five years after mainstream support
ends."
