end cut off

i don't know why this is happening. when i import video clips into wmm they
are cut short. i tried to import a clip and instead of 3 minutes it is only
1:03. i don't know why this is happening

Is the movie you have playing ok
Did it actually create multiple clips?
 
The exact same thing is happening to me. When I view the video file in
windows media player or anywhere else their is 16 minutes of video. It is
all one file and, like I said, their are no problems with viewing the whole
file. As soon as I import the file in to Windows Movie Maker I only have 12
minutes of the 16 minute file. What do I do?
