Encryption

I need the ability for Outlook to encrypt and decrypt messages with very
little hassle. I would prefer that Outlook could be set up to encrypt
automatically depending on what contact I selected. I would also prefer
that Outlook would automatically sense when an email is encrypted and
seamlessly decrypted it for me. Where can I get these capabilities?

I am using Outlook 2003, and I understand that encryption capabilities are
built in. But it appears to me that I need a certificate, and this might
cost money. Is there any way I can get a free certificate?

Thanks.

J,

Have a look at www.cacert.org. They give out free PKI digital certificates (
private/public key pairs).

The only problem is that they are not on any of the default trusted
certificate authority lists in browsers and email clients so people you send
mail to will have to load cacerts certificate to their trusted authoriy list,
or just trust your individual digital id.

I am trying to use one as I write and it does not appear quite as straight
forward as I may have hoped which is why I am here looking for help myself.

Hope this helped you a little
Chris
