Hiya,
I bumped into a site that secretly installed a program
called "Window Enhancer" into my PC that modified my
internet explorer favourites. Even after i delete those
modifications, it keep coming back after i boot my PC.
The program come from a search engine company
called "http://search.windowenhancer.com" which is pretty
dodgy in that they didn't even put their contact online
for people to address to them. When i tried to trace the
program they installed in my pc via add/remove, i found
this program on my control panel called "Search OS" which
was controlling the modifications, everytime i remove it,
the modifications on my favourites disappear but when i
reboot, the program comes back on my PC. It seems
impossible to remove this program. Can somebody help me
out here???
PS: I wonder if there is a law about privacy breaching
via the net becos it really seems unfair that visitors
entering sites have their PCs installed with weird
programs that they can't remove without their permission
at all. If there is one, i would love to sue the company
involve with this "Window Enhancer" program.
