Encrypted File System - problems encrypting

G

Guest

Please hel

When I try to encrypt using XP Pro I now get the following error messag

"Recovery policy configured for this system contains invalid recovery certificate

Help and support indicates this is a problem with my certificates (so far as I can fathom). This is a stand alone machine that has worked fine for the last couple of years. The certificate(s) I have been using are presumably those that I got with the XP Pro installation. Any idea why there would suddenly be a problem with encryption and what can I do about it

I am still able to access encrypted files and folders - just not amend these or create new ones

Many thank
