Encrypt outlook data file

Is it possible, or recommended, to encrypt the Outlook .pst data file using
the XP's Properties / Advanced Attributrs encryption? Thanks, Ray

Depends on your environment and your needs. The pst-file itself is already
encrypted. In general adding the XP encryption won't give you any
performance degradation so if your environment requires it you can safely
use it.

If I usel XP encryption, will it work ActiveSync and update Mobile for
Windows 2005 PDA cell phone?

No problem at all. The encryption is done at the OS level and thus
transparent to the application.
