FreeOTFE, available through CNET

or

TrueCrypt, available through FileHippo

I'm usually happy with anything from CNET or FileHippo.

Windows, since Win 2000 and subsequent business incarnations like XP Pro & Server, can encrypt USB drives using the Encrypting File System (EFS). Encryption is not natively supported on FAT32 drives, highly recommend formatting to NTFS first.

Data security is an oxymoron. :)
