Encoding wrong / Pics will only save as bmp!?

Help

Suddenly, whenever I use Internet Explorer it uses 'Unicode UTF-8' making
any text I enter (in Google for example) appear in italics - no matter how
many times I alter it to 'Western European (Windows)' it just reverts to
Unicode when I go to another page!?

Also, pictures will only save in 'bmp' format...

Any ideas?

Hi Ric,

With regard to your second problem:

Empty your TIF folder (Open IE / TOOLS / INTERNET OPTIONS / TEMPORARY
INTERNET FILES / DELETE FILES / check DELETE ALL OFFLINE CONTENT / OK /OK.

That happens when the Temporary Internet Files are too full. In IE click
Tools | Internet Options. Click Delete Files in the Temporary Internet
files section of the General tab. On the next window place a check mark in
the box to Delete all offline content.
