Enabling Shortcut Keys

I am running Windows XP Professional and am unable to set
shortcut keys for any programs. While Shortcut key tab is
visible on the Properties popup, windows will not allow me
to edit the "None" entry to set a key combination. Any
suggestions are appreciated.

Try using the alt key. That is, if you want the keyboard shortcut to
be alt-ctrl-M, first either click inside the shortcut area or use
alt-K to get there, then put in the shortcut via alt m.
