For some reason, Excel has disabled macros in a
spreadsheet and directs me to seek assistance online if I
would like to enable macros. Any suggestions on how to
enable macros?

Choose Tools>Macro>Security
Set Security level to Medium
Click OK.

Thank you for responding. However, even with the security
set on medium, I get the same message "The macros in this
project are disabled. Please refer to online help or
documentation of the host application to determine how to
enable macros."

Any other ideas?

You have to close and reopen your workbook. This setting is not "retroactive".

(make sure you enable macros when you reopen it, too <bg>.)

You'll have to close, then reopen the file.

Thanks. That didn't work either. I was able to found an
earlier version of the file with macros enabled in my sent
email folder.
