Enabling Macro in Excel 2007

Hi there,
I tried out the various instruction in the help section on getting my Macro
to work but none is effective:
I created my own digital signature for self-signing and digitally signing a
macro project. I can see my digital signature under the visual basic screen
(under Tools--> Digital Signatures). It didn't work. When I looked at the
Trusted Publisher list in Trust Center, I cannot see my own digital
signature. Neither was I prompt to add my own digital signature into the
trusted publisher list when I opened my excel file.

Then I tried adding the file location into the Trusted Location list. It was
added successfully but my macros are still not enable.

I'm at my wits ends. I hope someone out there can help.

Thank you so much! My problem is solved! But then what alternative have I if
I still want to restrict access to my file?
