enabling custom task form via ctrl-shift-K

I have created a new task form in outlook. It works very well, but I have
two issues related to it.

Outlook has a key sequence, ctrl-shift-K that allows one to create a new
task anytime your cursor focus is on any outlook window. This works
perfect from any outlook window when I am not in cached mode. However,
when in cached mode with an exchange 2003 server, If I press ctrl-shift-K
when focus is on an open email message, then the default outlook task form
is used rather than my custom form.

2nd, is there anyway to apply the new form to all existing task items in
outlook. Currently, all older tasks use the default form and only new
tasks use my new custom form.

thanks in advance for help

One other area, I would like to ensure this new form is used.

If I create a task on pocketPC, and then syncronize via activesync, the task
shows up in outlook with default outlook form vs. my new form. How do I
get activesync created tasks to sync to outlook using my custom form?

Go to www.outlook-code.com and search on "default", without the quotes.
Both questions will be answered by probably the first item in the results
set. Maybe the second.

Hollis,

Thanks for the tips. the MS Outlook Programming reference page has a
wealth of info. All my tasks now use the custom form. ctrl-shift-K
seems to work from whereever I use it now.

However, tasks created on my pocketpc and syncronized via activesync still
use the default outlook form.

Any tips on getting activesync tasks to automatically use the custom form?

Unfortunately, not from me. I never use tasks, or have anything that
requires activesync. Sorry.

I have created a custom task form in outlook. It uses all the standard
fields, but customizes the layout.

When I create task on pocketpc, and use activesync, the task shows up in
outlook using default outlook form.

Any ideas on how to get them to show up using my custom form?
