Enable macro warning box

When I open a particular document, I keep getting a box saying that it
contains one or more Excel 4.0 macros .... and do I want to enable them.
I'm using Excel 2003. I have checked and cannot find any macros within the
document. How can I get rid of this message? It's a document I need to
circulate to others.

You may havve a personal.xls file that you don't know exists. Check on the
Excel Spreadsheet windows Menu. See if there is an Unhide. The macros may
be in the files shown in thne unhide.

Lesley,

The spreadsheet probably has XLM macros or macro functions. Search your
workbook for strings like "GET.CELL", "GET.WORKBOOK", "GET.FILE". You will
need to replace those functions if you don't want to get the 'Excel 4 macro'
message.

Follow this link:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/128185

From that link, you can download macrofun.exe. It contains a help file that
lists all macro functions and if I recall right, there should also be a
section where VBA equivalents are identified.
