Hi,

Is there any tool (or batch) to enable/disable file and
printer sharing in WinXp?

Hi

As far as I know, snetcfg.exe is the only tool able to add or
remove the File and Printer Sharing (F&PS)component:

http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=#[email protected]

It is not able to enable F&PS, but it can disable a enabled F&PS
by first uninstall F&PS and then install it again.

Hi Torgeir,

In fact snetcfg.exe can install/uninstall ms_server and ms_msclient
and it work very well. But if you uninstall ms_server (f&ps) you're
not able to manage user account anymore, you got message like "...
workstation service is not started".

I was looking for something to unbind f&ps.
I hope It should exist !

Hi

After you have uninstalled F&PS, install it again (with snetcfg.exe),
and I think the services should be in place again (and F&PS will not
be enabled).

As far as I know, there is no other tools available to do this (but
you might get something to work if you create an exe file that uses
API calls to do this).
