Empty Recycle Bin sound does not play

When I empty the Recycle Bin the sound will not play. I've checked in Control Panel, Sounds under program events: and when I preview the sound, it will play. Other sound events work fine. I have 4 computers running XP Pro and on 3 of them I can't get the Empty Recycle Bin sound to play. I didn't even realize that it was not working until I decieded to use my own sound file. When I couldn't get it to work, I changed it back to the default "Windows XP Recycle.wav" and it still did not work. That is when I checked my other 3 computers and found 2 of them that are not working and one that does. I've tried severial .reg files at Kelly's corner but none of these have worked. I also tried exporting the folder {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} from HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID from the registry on the working computer and importing it to the non working computer. This also didn't fix the problem. Has anyone else experenced this and does anyone have a solution
Please help if you can. Thank you

Have you tried using the Windows Default Sound Scheme from the dropdown
menu, applying that and rebooting?

You assumption is wrong. Although I am not new to computers or newsgroups, this is the first time that I have posted to a newsgroup using the Microsoft web interface. In advanced options, it give you an opportunity to cross post to other newsgroups. In my first attempt, I entered the newsgroup that I wanted wrong and it would not post. My second attempt, I entered the newsgroup correctly and it posted. Much to my surprises, it also posted in this group. I learn quick and it did not happen again, after all I did apologize. However, you choose to beat a dead horse to death. It sure makes me proud to be a part of newsgroups in general (not) and I am sorry that like others, I was only looking for answers to computer problems encored. I certainly was not expecting to come across the newsgroup police such as yourself. If you are so concerned about NG being overloaded, then you should have accepted my apology and left it like that instead of starting an NG verbal war
Have a great day

I assume you are a regular reader of microsoft.public.word.newusers when yo

is encouraging or forcing users to post to that NG when they intend to b
posting elsewhere

I did accept your apology. You will note that the post you quote was
directed not at you but at CS (whoever he/she may be), who chose to attack
me for what I considered a mild protest and in spite of your apology and
explanation (which was what really concerned me, as I have been involved in
providing feedback to the team that is designing the new Communities
interface). As for beating a dead horse, you are the one who has resurrected
this thread after several days of silence.
