Empty defragmentation report problem.

After defragmentation is complete for: BOOT(C:), I now get the following boxed
message: 'Some files on this volume could not be defragmented. Please check
the defragmentation report for the list of these files.'
When I do check the report however, the 'Files that did not defragment:'
box is completely empty. As only two thin red lines are always now visible,
how can I
find the culprits responsible.
Thanks - Andrew

Some files are in use @ the time of defrag...To defrag all, open system
properties,
advanced,virtual memory,change button,set C: To "no page file" click set 2X
If other hds are installed, set to: "let system manage" click set 2X,close
out,restart
pc...Back in xp,open cmd type:CLEANMGR Clean up C: Then type:Defrag C:
Once thru type:EXIT Open virtual memory, set C: to "let system manage" close
out when thru,a restart should be prompted...Also,sometimes it takes a few to
completly defrag C:

Andrew E. is our resident troll here. He gives wrong answers, dumb answers,
and irrelevant answers. This one might win the prize for dumb answers,
though.

Page file settings have nothing to do with what defrags and what doesn't.
Not to mention that his advice on how to set the page file is also dumb.

Sounds like a "font issue" to me. Try "Save As" and then you may open
the text file created.
