empty CD

On the CD from a friend I only see a folder and no files. Other friends can
see the files on this CD. We all run Windows XP. The CD contains pictures.

If you see just a file, it may be that the CD was created in a UDF
format. UDF is a format for main RW style media and should not be
used. It is not any standard. Both Roxio's Drag to CD and Nero InCD
are two software but their individual UDF formats are not compatible.
