Emergency Repair Disk

Lynnette

I've been having a problem creating an ERD on one of our
Windows 2000 servers. It was suggested that we try
reinstalling W2KSP3. I did so yesterday, but I am still
unable to create an ERD. The following message appears
when attempting to create the ERD through the Backup
utility: "The operation failed. The disk file was not
found or was inaccessible." The floppy drive is
otherwise working fine. Files can be copied to a floppy
disk and accessed off the floppy disk. Several disks
formatted on the server have been tried. I have been
unable to find any resolution to this issue or a
workaround that would enable us to create an ERD through
a different process. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks,
Lynnette

Hi Lynnette,

Verify that you have the following files in the following directory:

C:\WINNT\repair
autoexec.nt
config.nt
setup.log
