EMBEDDED ICON ON DESKTOP - REMOVAL OF

E

Edward

I have somehow managed to move the Comcast cable logo to
my desktop and am unable to remove it. I have it removed
to the point where it is a square with the red X in it but
am unable to access the square to remove it or find the
Comcast cable logo anywhere on my hard drive. Refreshing
the desktop makes it go away for about 5 seconds and then
it pops back into the desktop screen. Changing desktop
images does not change the square with the X. How can I
get this thing off of my desktop???

So, have you checked to see if your desktop is set to show web content? That
would explain the box with the red x which is IE's way of showing that a
graphic is unavailable. Click a blank area on your desktop > Properties >
Desktop > Customize Desktop > Web
