Embedded fonts in a Word document

I often use fonts in a document that others do not have on their PC's, namely
Arrus and Bernhard Mod BT. I have used the Embed TrueType Fonts (Tools,
Options, Save) option and find that the resulting file is considerable larger
than the file without this option selected, so I think it must be adding the
font to the document. But no one opening the document ever sees the document
with the correct fonts; they're always substituted. I believe these are both
True Type fonts, so what's the problem?

As a follow-up, I found the 2/12/05 posting from Suzanne Barnhill suggesting
the installation of font properties extension. I did this and found that
both fonts I am trying to use are "Preview and Print embedding allowed". Now
I really don't understand why I can't get these fonts to appear in documents
I send to other computers. Any thoughts or suggestions?
