embedded distribution list to new distribution list in outlook

I have recieved a forwarded message with a much needed distribution list.
The names show up and if i click on one it starts a new email. I am trying
to copy the entire list to a new distribution list. Any help is greatly
appreciated.

You will have to state in what format this DL was received. We can't guess
that.

what format is the list in? you can copy and paste the list into a DL but
you need the email addresses under the members are in your contacts already.
