Embedded Charts

Sam

So I have embedded charts in powerpoint(Not linked to excel) and
everytime I need to update them I have to double click the chart and
copy the value from excel. Is there a way I can write a macro to do
this?

I cannot link the graph as the graph is already in a complicated
specific format. The data in excel is in the right format so all I
want to do is copy it into the data window of the embedded chart

Is there a way I can do this?
thank you for your help

Can you explain why the format of the graph prevents linking?
I don't follow that, and honestly, linking may be your best bet.

In theory it's possible to update data in an embedded graph using VBA (macros)
but it can get complicated. How's your VBA skill? This is more of a project
than is practical to tackle here. If you get it partway and need a push here
and there, feel free to post your code, though.
