Emails w/4mb or larger attachments freezes up outlook 2007?

I've never had this problem in past versions of outlook. My MSN email is
routed into outlook 2007. whenever i send email attachments larger than
approx. 4mb it freezes up outlook. The message just sits in the outbox and
it appears as if the message was never sent. when actually it's
repetitiously sending multiple copies of the same email to the recipient....
I've had receipients tell me that outlook sent anywhere from 80-250 duplicate
emails to them! how an i make this stop?!

If you are using a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook disable this
integration and try again.

disabled all of McAfee's email protections. and still having the same issues?!
