Emails sent to distribution lists never get delivered!

When I send Emails to my distribution lists they never get delivered!
1 – I select the group from my address book. (I’m in all my groups)
2 – I add the subject.
3 – I compose the Email.
4 – I send the Email.
5 – I watch it go from the “Outbox†to the “sent items†folder.
The message shows it has been sent, but no one receives it. No matter what I
do. I change priority, request receipts yet it does not get delivered.

Post more accurately, please. Include your Outlook version. Outlook does not
use groups in the address book (only Outlook Express does that) so clarify
what you are actually doing and provide greater detail. State how you
created this Distribution List and how you know it is valid.

You are just trying to torment us, aren't you? Share with us which "usual
way" you used. There are several. Do not require us to read your mind.
Include the precise steps by which you selected this DL as a recipient.
Include any recent changes you might have made to your Outlook profile that
might affect the Outlook Address Book Service, such as changing the location
of your information store. Include your mail transport and information
store.

Sorry, I do wish you could read my mind about this because no changes were
made to my profile. Verizon is my IP and I use McAfee Total Protection 2007.
Of the DLs in my address book all work except for 4 of them.
Now here's the kicker. The DLs in question are ones from work 2 are large
over 100 people. One time I sent out multiple Emails to these DLs. Verizon
shut me down for 24 hours because I saturated the server. Their limit is 500
per hour and I problably sent out about 600 or better. Verizon says
"everythings OK". McAffe says "A-OK".

Here's how I set up a group:
In the "contacts" I ckick new, drop down menu, I click Distribution List.
When the new one comes up I click select members. The names appear out from
my contacts address book. I click on them and they get added. I click save &
close and there you have it.

If the message is moved to your Sent Items Folder, then the problem is with
your ISP, not Outlook. DL's should never contain more than just a few
recipients because of the limits most ISP's impose.

I tend to agree that it is the ISP; however Verizon denies any wrong doing.
One of the groups in question has only 6 members. They don't receive anything
either.
They are also part of the larger groups who don't receive my mailings.

I guess the question now is how do I get my ISP to help me out?
I've contacted them but they say all is OK but I think not.
I think they have have something on these groups that denies them mail.
How do I correct this?

Enable diagnostic logging and you can prove whether or not the ISP's server
is at fault.

That sounds good. I've done that now but what happens. Is there something I
should look for? Will there be something to tell me I'm having problems?
I'd appreciate any assistance.

The log should show Outlook successfully handling the message to the server.
You'll see Outlook transmitting the DATA command, the server saying "OK, end
with a ." and then an acknowledgement after the period that the server
accepted the message. That acknowledgement is the proof.

I sent mail to one of the groups in question and this is what the end of the
message in the log said:

What does <rx> & [tx] mean?

RX meand "received". TX means "transmitted". This shows the Verizon server
accepted the message. That's what "250 OK" means.

That message was never received.

Yet here, too, Verizon's server acknowledged receipt of the message, clearly
shown by the "250 OK" it sent to Outlook right at the end. The "250 OK"
acknowledgements after each of the "RCPT TO" transmissions by Outlook also
proves it didn't object to the number of recipients you had on the message.
Usually, if you exceed the number of recipients the server will allow, you'd
get an error after the "RCPT TO" that exceeded the limit. Clearly Verizon's
server is failing to delivery a perfectly legitimate message and you can
prove it.
