emails from MS with worms and viruses

I am using outlook express with an internet connection
with Time Warner Road Runner cable modem service. In the
last month I have been getting at least 30 emails a day
with from lines of Microsoft Security , Net Security
Center, and others with Microsofts name and logo. Tehy
also contain some of the pages from MS web site. All of
them have worms, w32@mm or other exe viruses attached. I
have contacted Time Warner and they say it isn't coming
from them. It is the same emails each day. Any ideas.
Oh it all started after I accessed this help site.

You're not alone, but it looks like MS has taken steps to
protect the innocent posters to their newsgroups by
supplying an anonymous email addy for the sender.

Thank You Microsoft!

You posted using a valid e-mail address...it's important to protect your
email address in usenet (put in a fake one or add NOSPAM to it or somesuch)
as spammers and now worms harvest addresses from newsgroups. Besides
deleting the messages manually or via a rule, there isn't much you can do
besides changing your email address and being more careful in the future -
and make sure you are using good antivirus software and keeping it updated
regularly.
