Emails disappeared

Hi, I moved a group of emails from my inbox to the top level (not a folder)
of a seperate pst file and now the emails have completely disappeared. I
have checked the deleted items box, both pst files and the clipboard. Does
anyone know where they could be? Surely things just can't go missing???!!?!

Right-click on Personal Folders in the folder tree, select Properties. Click
on the "Home Page" tab and uncheck the box "Show Home page by default for
this folder". Your mails should appear.

Hi,
Thanks for that. Unfortunately it did not help. The emails were moved from
'personal folders' to the top layer of a separate pst file which does not
have a home page.

I've just tried this with a pst file that has no home page. I moved an
Unread message (from my Junk folder!) to the top level of this pst file. It
shows there. I then marked it as read and it still showed. I then set a view
on the top level folder of unread messages. the mail "disappeared". Check
you don't have a View set on the top level of this pst file.
