emails disappear from verizon acct using windows mail

i set up vista windows mail to access my verizon.net email acct. when i
receive my messages in windows mail they disappear from my verizon acct.

is there a way to receive messages with windows mail and keep them in my
verizon acct also?

Yes - set the account in Windows mail to keep a copy on the server.

BTW, Windows mail is NOT Outlook........

That's a basic account setting in any mail client. Ask in
microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail for specific instructions or just use
Help.
 
You should post to a Mail newsgroup, (Part of Vista groups) Outlook is a
completely different program.

To keep a copy on your web interface you need to change the account options
in Mail to leave a copy on the server
