Emailing (Outlook 2003) from Word 2000 - get "unspecified error" .

We have Word 2000 and Outlook 2003. We like to email from Word and have been
able to until recently when our computer crashed. Now we cannot. The icon
button on the toolbar is dimmed so that can't be used. When we try to go
through File - send we get the message Word couldn't send mail because of MAP
1 failure "unspecified error".

Can anybody help with this?

Versions of Outlook and Word must match in order to work together.
