Emailing from outlook

I am having problems sending emails from outlook. We use
hot mail. The messages will just sit in the out box. I
have no problem sening messages if I go directly to hot
mail and send a message. Any suggestions?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

I have the same problem - so would appreciate help as
well. My Outlook version is Outlook 2002, SP3
