Is there a setting on Outlook that would enable me to
download email without removing it from the server?

Hi Bob
All you need to do is go into the properties off each of
your accounts (Tools, Accounts) then click on the Advanced
tab, there will be a check box that says to "leave copies
of messages on the server"
