I am looking for a program that will allow my family and friends to
subscribe/unsubscribe to my weekly newsletter.
Is there anything for the hobbyist/club/person who only has about 200
people in total to send them weekly news without getttting those awful
spam packages.

Ideally, I would like to add (manually) those who are already on my list
(I have to use BCC feature in email) and then send out a newsletter with
them having the option to unsubscribe without me having to delete them
off.
Some websites have an encrypted link which doesn't show the actual email
address. What is there in the freeware offering available for the home
enthusiast?
Thanks

I think you should use the free services of places like
Yahoo groups. Set up a group, add your members or let them
register by themselves. Each member can then set himself up
as he likes, turning on and off mail delivery etc..

It saves a lot of work for yourself, as the Yahoo system
takes care of all the technical stuff, members administration etc..

If you absolutely want to do it all by yourself you can probably
use Pegasus mail client, it has mailing list capabilities.
