Email stuck in Outbox

I recently sent an email with a picture attachment that was approx. 14 MB.
The recipient stated he recd the email/picture. However, I can't seem to
delete the email in my Outbox. Both sender and receiver use the same cable
ISP. Appreciate any suggestions.

If you're getting indications that you cannot delete the message because
it's in use, then you have two easy options.

The first is to simply not be connected to the internet when you open
Outlook--if it can't connect to the outgoing server, then it can't start the
outbound transfer of the message, allowing you to delete the file.

Another way of doing it is to disable the option to send mail immediately.
In Outlook go to Tools -> Options and click on the Mail Setup tab. Clear
the "Send immediately when connected" checkbox under Send/Receive, click OK
to exit the options and then restart Outlook. This should also allow you to
delete the message.

It's interesting that the recipient has received the message and it's still
in your Outbox, however. Typically once your outgoing server has received
the message it would be moved to the Sent Items folder (unless you tried to
send it more than once?). If messages are not being moved from our Outbox
to your Sent Items folder you may have an issue with your PST file (if
you're using one) though I'd imagine you'd be getting Outlook errors if that
were the case.

Click File and check Work Offline. Stop and restart Outlook. Delete the
message. Click File and uncheck Work Offline.
