Email set up

I recently changed my carrier from verizon.net to comcast.net and for some
reason I keep getting this error message on my e-mails. I thought the
incoming and outgoing mail would be set to mail.comcast.net.

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Emailing: Budget
Calculator', Account: 'mail.comcast.net (1)', Server: 'mail.comcast.net',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0E

Could someone please help me on this?

See the link for all the account settings:
http://www.comcast.com/Customers/FAQ/FaqDetails.ashx?Id=2288

See point 10, especially SSL & Port numbers.

Patty,
You need to use the following settings for your Comcast acct.
1. Make sure that you check the box in the acct's settings, that states that
Logon to outgoing Server is required for authenication.
2. Outgoing Server Name: smtp.comcast.net
In the Accounts Advance Settings section:
3. Change Port: 25 to 587 or if that does not work 465.
4. Select to box to use encryption (SSL or TLS, I believe for WinMail)
