Email remiders from IMAP calendar

Is it possible to email reminders from my IMAP calendar to myself? I have tried a couple of widgets but they all seem to work only on the local calendar. If it is not possible is there any way I can have my IMAP calendar sync itself on startup to the local calendar and I can then have the widgets work on the local calendar.

IMAP stands for Internet Message Access Protocol. A calendar isn't an
Internet message - what do you mean by "IMAP Calendar"?

bad way of phrasing it...

we use Outlook connector with an MDaemon mail server.
In our office we all have shared calendars which we can all connecto to each others. As far as I was aware the Outlook connector uses IMAP hence the phrasing.
