I have a Notebook PC running Win 2000 and Office 2000 that is set up to use offline folders
The office has Exchange Server and POP mail server is also setup. Remote users can use the POP mail to receive mail when away from the office

When connected offline (via modem, and away from the network) emails send and recieve fine, except when replying to an email from a user on the (Exchange) system - ie in a GAL. These emails will just sit in the Outbox (this all works fine when connected to the network)

Can anyone assist in solving this problem

Thanks
Lou.

OT, but this isn't the best route in my opinion - perhaps a better option is
to set up VPN for them so they can connect directly to their mailboxes &
sync to OST files. That way, no duplicate messages, no lost messages, and
they have full 'live' access to everything in their mailboxes, including
calendar, tasks, etc.....

Note also that using POP and Exchange in the same profile in Outlook 2000
and earlier is not a supported configuration and can cause lots of problems.
Later versions handle multiple account types a lot better. I still say it's
best to avoid POP, though. I only use it when there are remote users who
will *never* need to connect to their Exchange mailboxes at all....

It sounds like normal behavior to me. What's the default account set to be
in Outlook?
