i just recently reformated my computer to the extentent
of no lossage of files on my computer. everything was
retained except the files. my isp said they should be
still on my computer but dont know the extension to the
files. i was wondering how i could recover these files.
my os is win xp,office 2000, outlook 2000.

outlook 2000 email, contacts, calendar, .etc is stored in a file with *.pst
extension. default location is in a hidden directory under one of the
following locations.

\documents and settings\<userid>\application data\microsoft\outlook
\documents and settings\<userid>\local settings\application
data\microsoft\outlook

to open a pst file in outlook, just select file | open | personal folders.
