Email received twice

Dear all,

Since the upgrade to outlook 2003, all the messages send
to me are imported twice?? I have 3 accounts (of wwhich
one is an alias of an other one) and it seems to me that
outlook 'forgets' to delete the imported files from the
server. (I checked all settings and the all say that no
copy of the mail must kept on the server).
What am I forgetting or doing wrong?

Thanks for a quick response,

Bytebutcher

Exlude the alias from send/receive; tools-options-mail setup-send/receive..

Dear Gérard,

this seems logical.
However two more Q's before i drop this topic:
1. I added the alias in order to receive also the mails send to that account .Waht you are saying is that you do not need to do that, they will come as well, right?

Yes it does, because the same pop server is used.
2. How can I excluse aliasses (or just plain accounts) from the send/receive without deleting them?

Tools-options-mail setup-send/receive.. edit accounts-uncheck include..
3. I have two accounts (one real, one alias), but today some mails even entered 3 times? Any other idea perhaps?

Just try to uncheck include. Do you use email virus scan? Turn that off
and see if it makes a difference. Real time scan will do the same.
