Email question with Office/Outlook XP

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this
question, but here it goes. This is the question that I
had from a user, can anyone help answer this problem.

"I need your help with a Microsoft Word issue; I have
Office XP on my computer; I'm trying to attach a Word doc
to an e-mail and send it to someone who has Word 97 or
2000. She gets a message saying "Wordpad has caused an
error in MSWRD832.cnv .." When I had a computer with
Office 2000 on it, I was able to send her attachments
which she could open; how can I fix the current problem?"
