Email Problems

I can not send or receive email thru microsoft windows. I keep getting this
error
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
Can anyone help

Can anyone help

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled.
 
e-mail scanning has NOTHING to do with this problem.It`s a Microsoft problem
but they would rather pass the buck.
 
Unless you happen to have a lot of expertise in this topic,
I suggest you leave the troubleshooting to those who have
been doing this successfully since day one.

Remove TCP/IP Protocol restart system install the TCP/IP protocol restart
your problem will be solved
