Email Options in Microsoft Word

Guest

I want to send a read receipt with a particular email message in word. (I use
Outlook Express.
I went to Word Help files and it gave these instructions:

"In the message, click Options .

Under Voting and tracking options, select the Request a delivery receipt
for
this message or Request a read receipt for this message check box."

The problem is that I can't find "options" or "voting and tracking
options".

Can anyone out there help!

Thanks in advance

Hi cj-

I think you are reading instructions for features available in Outlook that
are not the same in Outlook Express. Since you don't metion versions I can't
be sure, but I believe Outlook Express offers an "all or nothing" choice for
Receipts. In the Main menu go to Tools>Options>Receipts where you will find a
simple checkbox if you want to use it.

It is worth noting that even if you request a reciept, this doesn't
guarantee the recipient will allow one to be sent.

Precisely. I *never* send a receipt (though I usually answer immediately).
