Email options in Microsoft Word

I want to send a read receipt with a particular email message in word. I
went to Word Help files and it gave these instructions:

"In the message, click Options .

Under Voting and tracking options, select the Request a delivery receipt for
this message or Request a read receipt for this message check box."

The problem is that I can't find "options" or "voting and tracking options".

Can anyone out there help!

Thanks in advance

Try posting your question here, but I would use a good news reader (like
Outlook Express), as opposed to the web based one;

Assuming you are using Outlook for email.

Outlook must be open to see the Options Menu Item.

With a document open in Word, click on the Send Email Icon.

Outlook will open and you will see the Options just above the "To" line.

I'm sorry, I should have been more precise. I use Outlook express. Any
ideas there?

Thanks

I'm using Word 2000 but hopefully things haven't changed too much
with the version you're using:

When you've finished creating your Word document go to File ->
Send To -> Mail Recipent. You should now see an Options box right
above where you'd enter the recipients email address. Click on
Options. In the Message Options box that pops up look for
"Tracking Options" near the bottom.

But if the receiver is like me, they can have "returning receipts" set to
"never", which means you have wasted your time, as you'll never get a
"returned receipt" showing they've opened your document/mail.

Me too! I work on the basis that if the message doesn't bounce, it got
there. Get enough c**p already without "read" receipts adding to the volume,
in or out.
