Email not being sent straight away

Hello all

I use Outlook XP and have a question.

If I click on a Mailto: link on a website to send an Email and click send,
the Email is not being sent straight away. Instead it is placed in the
Outbox of Outlook.

If I create an Email in Outlook and click on Send then the Email is sent
straight away.

Is there anyway to get Outlook to send the Emails straight away when created
in this manner?

I take it that Outlook is not running when you do this? Outlook needs to be
running in order to send mail, and the mail won't be sent until a
Send/Receive is done.
