email links error in Outlook 2007

I received an error message: 'General Failure. the URL: whatever the name
of the link is. ' Application not found. Whenever I tried to open a link, any
link that was embedded in the email from Outlook 2007. Therefore, I cannot
view anything anyone send from the email because of this error. Does anyone
have ideas how to correct this problem?
