Hopefully someone can help me resolve this irritating little problem.
On my new computer running XP Pro, IE 6.0, Office XP & Office 2003, and OE
6.0, email hyperlinks will launch IE 6.0 if not already opened and bring
window active or forward for viewing. IE options are set to reuse IE
window(s). However, if I switch back to an email message and click another
hyperlink, the link will open in the open IE window, but the IE window will
not come forward for viewing. I must always mouse click IE in the taskbar to
bring the window forward for viewing.
I have already tried to trick IE by changing the reuse windows function OFF,
but did not get new windows with email hyperlink clicks. Although
occasionally a new window will open even with the reuse IE windows function
engaged. I'm assuming a copied link has a hidden javascript, as it always
happens on the same links.
I have also checked and rechecked all IE options and OE options, and
searched the help with no luck. I have also explored the control panel at
length. Based on the help hits, It appears this was a problem in some older
versions of Outlook, OE and/or older versions of IE.
Hopefully I have provided all the information needed to help me resolve this
issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
