Email Hotlinks

Mike A.

I recently purchased a new Lenovo notebook computer with Vista and have a
problem accessing email hotlinks on websites where the hotlink is supposed to
immediately open an email with the address filled in. MSN mail is my default
email via Verizon/MSN Premium but when I click an email hotlink on a
website, Vista apparently misdirects my email to Windows Mail instead of MSN
mail and then IE opens and I get a small error message window that says
"could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not
properly installed". Three MSN personnel tried to change the email hotlink
direction to MSN mail but were blocked from doing so.

Help! What do I need to do to fix this problem? Please be specifc and walk
me through if you have the solution. Thanks.

I use the MSN browser, downloaded the registerhm.zip program and installed
making Hotmail the default, but nothing happened. Any other ideas?

Never having used MSN, I don't know much about it.
Perhaps someone with more MSN knowledge will jump in here.
