email forward and replay delay service pack 2

When I click to forward an email in Outlook 2002, I get a delay of about 20
seconds, while Outlook locks up, until the new email pops up for me to start
entering the new recipient's address and message. This started after I
installed the Office 2002 service pack 2. Prior to installing the service
pack, which I did several months ago, the new email would pop up with no
delay.

Did you disable 'instant messaging'? Tools-options-other. That did not help?
And you did not install SP3?
