MYOB Accounting v18...

Outlook (Office 2007), XP Pro SP3, fully up-to-date

Hi, new PC, new Office, etc.

When generating email out from MYOB, the client gets the "delay" dialog.
I want to get rid of this. It's not macro driven.

I've installed, Advanced Security for Outlook, from:
http://www.mapilab.com/outlook/security/

however it doesn't pickup on the email generation at all (doesn't
intercept MYOB's email call).

I'm at a bit of a loss now.

I'm hoping someone out there is using MYOB and sucessfully emailing
through Outlook without the delay dialog popping up, and can shed some
light on this.

Have you contacted MYOB already about this?
It all depends on how they initiate the mailing. When they do this in a
secure way (or via Redemption) then there should be no such prompt. Having a
virus scanner installed that reports its status to Windows will also
suppress several prompts.

Cheers... I will be contacting MYOB as soon as I get the client's MYOB
serial number - otherwise you get no-where on the phone.

Yes, the v.scanner (NOD-Eset, 23bit, commercial (1yr lic.) integrates
with Windows, but it doesn't seem to make any difference in this
instance. I've even turned off scanning in Outlook, and it still
reports itself, so I'm happy with the setup in this regard.

I hope to talk to the MYOB folk on Monday (if I can get my clients MYOB
serial number, there is only one person there that can drive the
computer with sufficient savvy to get me the guff I want :)

I find it hard to believe that MYOB (very big accounting product here in
NZ and Australia) does not seemlessly integrate with Office (Outlook)
2007. I'm sure it will be an "interesting" conversation :)

I've rung MYOB support, and they tell me that the operating system's
security is causing it. I've "fixed" them up on that, and told them
that it is really up to their programmers to work with the Outlook
Object Model Guard security. :)
